Just wanted to let all the Michiganers know that the Redwings just lost another game to our Avalanche.

All in good fun my friends, all in good fun!

Hey.....I resent that....I play hockey 2wice a week all year....summer included!!!!

True though.....it's Lightning season!

Seriously though...you should try watching a game where your whole team relies on your goalie. Thank goodness Brodeur slipped up a bit last night.

arrrgh, you mean NJ lost? Dang! The team I thought would do better honestly are the Flyers, cant see why (besides Jagr) they are having such a problem scoring (winning). The best match up right now is the Detroit-Colorado series though. Those games are great to watch!

Cool

First off the Wings R done. The Flyers R very much alive,Tugnutt will break eventually and Jagr can't take the Pens to the Cup the way Mario could. The Devils will beat Cujo(they don't hafta beat the Leafs because their fisrt line is it,after that they have nothing). The Stars R going on the next round(San Jose doesn't have the O to take out Dallas).
I could give you low down on the next round but I'll wait till we get there! As for why I feel I can dole out this info, well as a retired(at 25) semi-pro goalie(who now instructs 5 days a week & plays 4 days) I have the room and the knowledge to speak on this
Finally a thread I know probably know more about than 99.9% of the people on this board!

Thumbs up

Had to reply to this cause im a hockey nut.If the Flyers keep the pressure on Tugnutt he will crack....40 shots per game cmon now...I hate detroit...mainly cause they swept the flyers a few years back in the finals.Cant believe the flyers ever gave up rights to Forsburg to aquire Lindros....I mean i love him,but DAMN....not even there when ya need him the most....I like the way colorado has been playing, would love to see a Philly/Colorado match for the finals....OH YES IT IS LIGHTNING SEASON!

Ya......N.J. will beat Cujo.....sure.....just like they did last night. The man is a maniac. The more shots he gets, the better he plays. I do really like Brodeur as he is one of my favorite goalies, but I have to go with the team of my home, just like most others do. Remember Montreal many years back....they had no team but a great goalie. That's how they won. Now with the Avalanche....I'd have to say they are the team to beat. Great goaltending and great offence. Looks like San Jose found a kink in Belfour's armour, eh?
Don't like Detroit's situation right now. I think they have a great team, but are lacking in defense. Osgood can't do everything.

(this is of course all in fun, you realize that!!!! ;-) ;-) )

Love the Wings but you can't win 'em all. They have been real good for a long time and two cups in a row ain't nothing to sneeze at. Hard to hate the Aves as much since they got rid of Claude Lemieux. Oh yeah, that was a real show of class by the Colorado fans with their "Red Wings Suck" signs.
