Smile '00L Track Times (stock)

Well I finally took the lightning to get some track times before the mods. The truck has 1,050 miles on the odometer.
It was a 2 hour trip to the track with about a 15-20 cool down.
1st Run
13.900@98.67mph
2nd Run (10 minute cool down, staging lanes)
13.768@99.57

Needless to say I was very pleased with the performance of the truck.
More et's will be posted with each mod and dyno results should be taken next week.
I will post the results

By the way, great forum
2000 Silver Lightning
best to date 13.76 (stock)

frogman,
Yes, very impressive times.
What was the temperature?
Is the track at sea level?
I live in Phoenix, Arizona. The track is probably 1,200 above sea level and with
75-80 degree weather I turned a best of 14.098.

Peter
The temp was at 72 degrees with high humidty and I was about 300-400 feet above sea level. The bad news was that I have Sal's chip but it is not working at the time, so I did not get to use it (he his working on this). R/T was not good at all but who cares when you are just running the truck for e/ts.
What a blast!!!
Oh, first pass beat a mustang and the second past 00 Camaro SS (red light)but a quicker e/t on paper.
Still good in my book.

I havent been to the track yrt but i swear my 00 is a touch faster than my 99.It almost feels just like my99 after break in.My truck only has 200 miles now.I swear even at 6 miles my new one feels alot snappier then my 99 ALOT.I remember being disapointed with the 99 brand new.I know for a fact it feels snappier.Time will tell, next week.I sti;; have my 99 slip to compare it to.13.8@98
