I just received my auto insurance payment for the new L. I was sweating it. They know that it is a Lightning but only costing $42.00 more a year.

When I first got insurance, the company had no record of the VIN so I guess they just picked some kind of F150 and charged me for that. When my renewal came it had SVT150 on it and the premium was close to $100 LESS. Didn't make much sense but I didn't argue with them.

 

You did better than me, but I'm not complaining. I'm paying $120 more per year than my 1994 Ford Ranger with a 2.3 liter engine. I was more than happy to write that check. It pays to be over 40 and married.

 

Now this is something that I need to take time to deal with. I am with 21st Century and from the get go they said the L is classified TO THEM as a sport vehicle. I pay over 100 a month for insurance, they gave me a $3 discount because it's not my daily driver and a $3 discount for Lo-Jack. I really think I'm getting ripped off here. If anyone can recommend a better ins. co. please advice. And soon, before my speeding tickets show up!

i'm 25 & live in louisiana.. they think every truck down here is a 4x4!

I'm with state farm, 250 coll. 100 glass and everything else. I pay about 55 a month. I'm 56 and have two cars with them (need two cars to get the good rate)

I live in NJ, so insurance sucks.

Turning 25 I've now dropped to $109 a month, but for the first half of the year it was $221 a month.

 

Okay well I'm turning 26 so I guess I'm not getting ripped off. Still expensive as heck though!

Mercury Insurance.

I have had bids from almost all the companys and Mercury seems to be the lowest. I have to get it from a broker. I think Mercury can only be purchased from a broker.
