Ported box can be done in the L!

Almost half done with mine. This will be for a JL 10w3 initially which needs 1.00 cu ft of internal volume. I will then install 2 braces to get the volume down to 0.75 for a future 10w6. Port will fire against the passenger side of the cab, sub will fire down behind the driver. I think the guy with the 10w7 is a sealed box, I could be wrong. It's hard to tell from his pics.

Total volume of the 3/4" mdf box is 1.3 cu ft (before sub and port volume subtractions).

i have one in mine that the gross volume is 1.5 cu. ft., with a recessed amp rack. net volume is like 1.4 for my orion hcca 10d. it fits, but it uses ALL the space back there

I was trying to only use the space where the tool box is. Really wanted a box that was low and out of site. I also have a ton of black painted parts I don't want to cover.
Gross volume for this box is 1.3 cu ft. When the port and sub volume is subtracted I get 0.913 cu ft.

it is out of site when the seats are in their normal position. it actually makes a nice shelf to set stuff on.

I dont see what special about this? I did a ported kicker solo-baric 10" L7 about a year ago. It's not that hard to do, you just have to like sloppy bass.

Looks awesome Tampa, can't wait to see the final box. I'm sure it will be stunning like the rest of your projects.

I'm in the process of planning a (2) 12" blowthru setup. Anyone done this on their Lightning?

Blow thru? do you mean that the subs will be in the bed and the bass will travel thru a hole conected to the bed and the cab?
