Post B&M Adjustable Shift Improver

B&M makes an Electronic Automatic Shift Improver that allows installation in minutes. No need to remove pan or valve body. There are three shift modes, original factory,Firmness level 1 or firmness level 2, with the switch of a switch.
These are different than the kits previously discussed.
Has anyone installed one of these??

The price is right, 31.00 dollars, can it be any good for 31 bucks????

I have installed the wire harness that you are talking about and it works extremely well. The only downside is that when you are putting the truck in gear it will break your neck when it is on the firmest selection. But the truck I put it on is my father's 93 L and it has 83,000 miles and the tranny was starting to get really weak especially on the hose. It has made a great improvement.

Sounds very interesting, almost too good to be true. How come no one else is using this one instead of the Transgo? I'm glad I didn't place the order yet. Some more input please!!

Do these guys have a website? That price is right, but you know the saying.

Thumbs up

I cannot say really how it works because I am not that educated in that area. I do know that it was easy to hook up. I got this part because of the place we get all of our parts from and the guys are very knowledgable. they told me this would be the easiest way to help the tranny live a little longer and improve it somewhat. We try anything these guys tell us because they have sold enough and allways check up. I can say it was the cheapest item I have ever purchased for a vehicle that did so much. I am fully happy with this part!!
I have to give my Austin Performance 2 Thumbs up for all of thier help and service to me.

I noticed that on the Kenny Brown website that they install/sale this product on their cars and trucks. Pretty reputable company. There number is (317) 247-5320. I am interested in getting something like this also, so I plan on calling them and asking their opinion on the shift kit. Of course, take what they say with a grain of salt since they sell the product, but I can't believe they would be putting it in their vehicles if it was junk.

Sounds like B&M must have changed their mind! When confronted with this in the past they told me that they did not make one for the 4R100 trans. and wern't going to. Glad to hear different.

The posts above are somewhat confusing... I can't tell, has anyone put this on their GEN II Lightning? Is it even available for the Gen II?

The way this "improver" works is by increasing line pressure in the transmission lines. This is NOT a good thing. If you want better shifts, install a shift kit. The electronic gismos like the B&M will hurt your tranny.
