Ordering A Ported Everything?

I'm modding the truck this weekend and need to know if the Stieg's ported and polished everything is worth it? I want low 12's with the common mods (Cool Aid 3, 4lb lower, plugs, thermostat, ftvb/wpan, breather, exc.?) I need some quick responses before 8 in the morning so i can call and get it done!

Let me know, much help would be apreciated!

i don't think just a port and 4lb/ftvb/filter will get you low 12s... high 12s yeah but I wouldn't bank on low 12s. Maybe step it up to a 6lber, 2 or no cat mids and a cat back and some t-bars and 28" slicks and you'll see low 12s though?

So is this article on SVTPerformance saying that porting is not such a good idea? I WAS about to have the Eaton ported, but after reading the loss of rwtq, I'm not so sure it's a good idea.

i wouldn't go that far... a couple people have bad experiences with customer service and all of a sudden everybody is all about hanging them.

you can't make everybody happy that's how it is.

Thats how it goes in this game..... you cant **** off anyone when you have such a focused market.....and it sounds to me like Mrs. Stieg really went to extremes..... and its funny how every Stieg post that goes negative on a forum gets deleted....

As for the porting, yeah I wouldnt port an eaton at this point if it were free, the data is incomplete, and a few guys that I do trust on the matter have posted negative results that were either because of the port or because of the rotor stripping. My own Stieg ported eaton lost quite a bit of torque through the entire rpm range, with a minor gain in hp up high...this equalled slower track times....

I think your money would be better spent on other mods, or saving for a KB or Whipple.
