I've spent months reading this board and waiting. I was at lunch today when I got the call from my dealer. They had just rolled my nice new white L off the transport and wanted to know when I wanted to come pick it up. Can you say NOW................

I now know why white is the fastest:
Fastest I've ever eaten lunch
Fastest I've ever called to say I won't be
back to the office today
Fastest time ever getting to the dealer
Fastest I've ever wanted to sign paperwork
Fastest I've ever written a check that large
Fastest I've ever gotten to the accessory
store to spend more money

All I can say is WOW. This truck is every bit of what I was lead to believe it would be. I haven't been this excited about a new truck since I got my first F150 back in 1973.

I calle dthe dealer to see IF they had one.....YES they did, fresh from the transport. Still had the shipping film on it and only 23 miles on the odometer :P

THEN...I had to make an appointment because i couldn't leave work.
THEN... I had to pick up and take Mrs. Speedin Bob with me. :|

V1 all ready on board. Saved my behind tonight on my way home. Leaves more $ for toys.

Up coming mods (currently on order, waiting for delvery):
*Hard bed cover
*Bedrug
*Ultra White lights top and bottom
*Hood cowl (replaces that funcky black plastic between the hood and glass. Painted to match)
*Clear corners on the front. (Got talked out the the clear tail lights. Couple of locals had them and they didn't work out too well.)

Additional stuff as soon as I can decide:
* Window tint
*Filter kit (not sure whos yet)
*Chip (again not sure but leaning towards PSP)
*Local guy that does custom exhust has done my last two trucks. Not sure if you get anything other than more sound so I might not do it this time.

This ought to keep me busy for a while.

WOW. I'm going to order the hard bed cover tomorrow, and getting windows tinted on monday. Where are you located?

 

RU4RACN - I'm in the Clearwater area. How dark are you going to go with the tint? I need to find out how much/if it will affect the radar detector. I found out yesterday how easy it is to go fast in an L and my V1 brought me back to reality before the state could get their hands into my pocket. I figure it just about paid for its self yesterday.

TampaBayLightning - Bought Bolt and last 2 rides at Walker in Clearwater, from the same guy. Super deal, easiest place I've ever done business with. Looks like you're the guy I need to talk to about my sound system. I've got the stuff (less than 3 months old) I pulled out of my trade. Problem is I don't think I'll get the 2 10" MTX subs behind the seat. Looks like my free time is covered for a while. By the way there is another white Bolt at Currie in Tampa if anyone is interested. Just sitting there in the showroom.

Wayne Ackers Ford, Lake Worth. He was just killed in a plane crash near Gainesville. He was only 44 and he has been running the dealership since he was 25 years old. Real tragedy. I'm getting 15% on the sides and covering the back with 15% also. It is not legal so CASH only, no receipt , but this is what I want. What is a V-1. I have a passport.

 

Very nice, I also just purchased a new 2000 Lighting. I traded in my 1999 Cobra convertible for it. I have to say however that "BLACK" is definitely the color to have. I guess I am lucky to have the Lighting as my first PU!
