Loud Intake??

I am going to be purchasing an intake within the next few days and I was wondering which intake will work the best but also make the loudest whistle during boost.. A white L passed me on the highway the other day and he kicked it down and the thing whistled so loud. I pulled up next to him at the light and I asked him why that is so loud and he said all it has is an intake.. Didnt get a chance to ask what brand...

I have the True Flow / AF1 from Chickenears and it's pretty loud! Any of your "open" element intakes will be louder than the enclosed ones. I also have an "Airaid" set up but it's much quieter!

About 200. difference! Seriously though, the one for 385. is "enclosed" with a scoop drawing air form under the bumper. Is that better! You'll get alot of contradictions/opinions about that...alot of which is "hype/theory." I have both set ups but prefer my "open" element! IMO the possible 5hp loss from the open is justified by sound/looks! But, I'm not going to get into that debate! For some reason my truck performs/idles/decelerates better with the "open" compared to my Airaid!

I have an open air intake and just think the added volume of the sc is greaat.
As for performance, i could not tell you, as i did several other things and a tune at the same time.

The airforce one is 199.99 and all you get is a filter... Then they want another 136 for the polished 4" tube.... Am I seeing this right.

All you get is a filter, Wrong, look again, what about the attachment that bolts on to the maf? Dont you get that too. However you will have to purchase the power tube.

Fowl, you have to purchase the polished tube for an extra 136.99. That makes the total 336.99.. wow..
