Deputy scores a kill
I thought I’d seen everything until tonight. Sitting at a stoplight minding my own business when a 325 BMW rolls up along side with one of the local youths at the wheel. He starts honking the horn and motions me to roll down the window, which I do. This fine young lad wants to know if I think my $%*(#* L can keep up with his BMW. I smile back and say there is only one way to find out. Now this is where it turns odd. We’re on a four lane with a grass divider. Through the intersection is about 3 maybe 4 hundred feet and then a sweeping curve to the right, followed by about 1½ miles of straight road to the next light. What the lad doesn’t know is that my V1 is brapping it’s little heart out showing the target, K band, is ahead of us. This road has radar on it from time to time hence the V1. The light turns green and the L jumps through the intersection before the kid knew what hit him. As soon as I clear the intersection I pull up and he flies by heading into the curve and I’m sure he was thinking he was laying waste to one of the finest trucks ever built. As I round the curve at the speed limit I see the fine young lad being pulled over by one of our areas finest.
Might be harder to get daddy’s keys in the future.
Might be harder to get daddy’s keys in the future.
Times like these are when we need Nelson from The Simpsons to pop out of the bushes and give a "ha ha" to the kid in the beamer..
