Alex,
thats what I meant to type in not the cost of installation. But on the other hand I think I will go with Jig,s recommendation. Thanks,

I have a Superchip, they too can correct for a gear change 3.73 or 4.10. Unfortunately they charge about $100. Oh well, gotta get some gears!

Thumbs up

Ordered the 4.10s from Hawaii Racing in Simi Valley today. Should get them in 2-3 weeks. Then its down to Danny Swanson for the chip, and then this truck should live up to its license plate.

For you Houston area boys, Pyle Brothers in Baytown will install a set of 4:10 gears for $600.00 parts included. The largest rear end builder and modifier in the Houston Area. They have been into racing for years, and will turn it around in one day. They have done three (3) trucks to date. All Ford Parts.

I know these guy's 1BADTK I went to school with one of them, they do good work. I had them build a stroker mouse motor for my boat a few years ago, its been kickin every since. I was going to let them do a 4.10 gear in my truck a few months ago, but won't till the speedo correction thing is resolved. They get a lot of respect in the drag racing and dirt track world around the Houston area. AND!!! the are FORD guy's, ask to check out their stable of Mustangs (Shelby's).

Jigawatt: How did the 4.10's affect your RPM at the traps in the 1/4? How about the 55mph romp? How does it take off on that?

Thanks for all the other good info. Mucho appreciado!

Cool

Roger:
My trap speed is 107.62 the rpms in 3rd are 5650rpm. This is with a 26 inch slick,4:10's.

On the street(freeway) 55-65mph stomp is where these gears really make a big change. I think n2Oboy said it best(otherpost) I thought the guy hit the nos, but it was just the 4.10's. Some thing to that affect
