Question Am I crazy or did this really help?

I just went and finally got off my **** and put on my boost bypass parts(thanks RPMoutlet for the pics). well all was installed and i figured this cant be all that great. started it and was running arround and from a stop if rolling bout 5mph then rolling into it, it use to mush the power on but now its like it hits right away. Suprised me once as i rolled on it from a stop and it roasted the tires. runs great but am i just imagining it? or is it really helping? thanks -Kyle

1. Yes
2. No

All the boost bypass does is stop the computer from dumping boost when you over rev it. Like when doing a burn out.

You could have saved your $$ and just unplugged it.

This is why kicking down is sooo disruptive to parts, is what the threads behold... lol Enjoy.

Huh?

Twb':

What are you trying to say? That post makes absolutely NOOOOO sense.

More on topic, 'Fafl is absolutely correct, to the detail. Moreover, why would ANYBODY want to disconnect the boost dump protection circuit for ANY reason? I've done all sorts of stupid crap with my 'bolt and prolly made 200-300 passes at the track, and only hit the dump once (mashing it out of the burnout box), and I'm VERY happy that I had the dump engaged. An occasional high-15-second pass against a Cavalier is a small price to pay to keep the block intact.

The "boost bypass" kit is one of the most egregious pieces of worthless, no-perfomance crap on the market, and the near complete lack of understanding of its function keeps the sales rolling.

Set your tune up properly (the delta between the shift point and the rev limiter), learn how to properly drive/race your vehicle, and don't worry about it.

Good on ya 'Fafl. How you doing, Dog?

Not tat tall, I'm an optimist not a pesimist. I said behold (people have experienced it) not betold (as in fairy tale). The lol after the ... is because he's exicted about the enjoyment of what he did. Chill my brother, the glass is half full.

Your explanation just makes it worse.

beˇhold v.: (1) To perceive by the visual faculty; see (2)To perceive through use of the mental faculty; comprehend

A thread cannot behold, as it has no visual or mental faculty. Only readers can behold.

Second, what does the boost bypass have to do with kickdowns?

Third, what does optimism or pessimism have to do with it?

Fourth, "Not tat tall?" To what question is this in response to?

Actually, maybe its better if you don't respond. This is like quicksand.

See because it happened seeing is believing?

Is seeing not mental?

And who posts the threads, readers? Are threads not the readers?

You got me on that one.

Ones perception of what another could have meant. Never *** u me. Don't we all though?

Playfully thinking in response to the question that was asked. Just trying to be playfull.

Opinions vary, I give...
