Post Colorado/High Altitude Lightnings

Is there a difference between Lightnings sold for principally high-altitude use, and others?

Most other Ford models seem to have that option. Is there one for the L, or is there only one type?

BadDog,

I've heard it both ways. Christy Ann says that it says right on her sticker "High altitude principal use" as a line item. Whereas I know that mine does not. I believe that others have said that there should be no difference. All I really know for sure is that my truck does not run anything like it did back in California.

Hey Gordon, Sal here. All SVT vehicles ave 50 state calibrations, meaning there are no "special" versions for use in high altitude or poor emmissions states. I know that the "high altitude" wording appears on the paperwork, but there is still only one calibration.

Sal,
My tech at the dealership told me that it was a state requirement by SVT that they sell the truck at no charge with the option to somewhat even the playing field. I was also told the same by SVT.

Hey Christy, is that the same guy that gave me the WRONG info from that CUX2 PCM? Seriously, there is only one calibration. If there was another calibration, there would be another PCM other than CUX1 for 99 and CUX2 for 00.
