Lightning owners in Richmond, VA. area
I'm not in Richmond, but in Chesapeake. Great track 20-30 mins south of Richmond. www.virginiamotorsportspk.com There is another member on the board with a Lightning from Richmond that goes by the handle of Typhoon. How 'bout it Larry, are ya' out there? Thinking of going to the track saturday to see if I can get a stock baseline on this one before I start making changes(the filter is only in the sig, not on the truck yet). Stop by if you're in the area.

Thanks for the reply, I see you are a brand new owner, congrats. I am still waiting for mine, will pick it up in July when I move up there. Hopefully, we can meet sometime and go to the track. Actually, I will be living somewhere near Charlottesville. Can you recommend any high performance shops in case I want to add some aftermarket parts?
Actually I'm on my second Lightning, traded in my '99 a couple weeks ago. It had an annoying "accessory" noise in the engine that couldn't be pinpointed.
I really don't know the Richmond/Charlotte area that well. The best go fast parts can be found looking through the threads here. PSP filters and chips, Airaid & Downs filters, Superchips all make products for these beasts. Gears are cheapest from the dealer(Expys 4:10) from what I've seen. Rousch makes a lowering kit. Look through the threads and you'll pretty much find info on about anything you need.
The single biggest resource for your Lightning is this board and the good people on it.
BTW, welcome to the area and would definitely like to see ya up at the track.
I believe there is a Richmond Speedway but I've heard negative things about its condition so I go to the VMP when I go.

Your right about one thing, this board is the best place to find info on parts and problems. I also own a 502/502 67 corvette so I am a member on some of their boards, but they are not near as informative as this one. I just wait until I get up there to find a good shop. I know just enough about engines and maintanance to make me dangerous so I always like to refer to the pros when it comes to big jobs. Look forward to meeting you later this summer. Jeff
Any Lightning owners in Richmond Va area? I will be moving up there this summer and need to get hooked up with a good high performance shop. Thanks
