I have that set up. I had the 4# lower for 2 years with out any problems. About a month ago, i went with the 2.80 upper and noticed a DEF hp and tq. increase. How much? well i'm not exactly sure cause i just bought the long tubes and hi flo cats and am waiting to get a full tune when they go on.I am actually alittle nervious to go down to the track with this set up without longtubes eventhough Jim at jdm did a road tune for about 4 hours with the truck.

I ran that combo for 3 full years with awesome results
Personally I think it's the best combo out there for a Stock Block Lightning.
And the most important thing is it gives you choices, and safety when needed . I dont know where your from, but if you get a Quick Change Hub and Pulley set up (which I would highly recommend) it'll allow you to take away boost in the Cold or Winter months (which you should), and it'll allow you some tuning and tweaking on the track and street based on conditions and available octane

To answer "how will my truck perform with this combo" ?
For me when I made passes the same day with and without it, I always seemed to gain at least 1/10th with the added pulley, and sometimes more...

I'm from West Chester,PA, so i plan on getting a cold weather
tune and a race tune. What should my hp/tq numbers be and
what should i expect my E.T and M.P.H be at the track?

Unfortunately up to this point I only raced with Nitrous so I can only tell you 11's are no prob with a little juice. As for 6lb et's without juice the 2 or 3 times I did make a non nitrous run 12.7's / 12.8's were no prob at all, but that was using extremely rich tunes, many have run much better that that. AMOF with the advances in tuning these days there are L's out there running 11's on 6lbs of pulley and NO juice.

You can expect @425 RWHP (maybe more) and mid 12's as an average
(maybe better, maybe not better)

GOOD LUCK

why do you guys say that? isn't it the same as a six lower? i've only had my L for a year but i thought the smaller uppers were prone to slippage so just doing the lower was preferable.

What he said. Rob said they are great for thier versatility...isn't an interchangable lower just as good?
