Cam Bolts
Hey all,
I stopped in at my mechanic to get my "clunk" related stuff looked at.
Low and behold, I've got typical clunk symptoms, so I'll be making a stop at my dealer this week for a star-washer and an alignment...
My mechanic did say that for a while now, Ford as not put CAM BOLTS on their trucks fresh off the assembly line. They use this square-metal plate that is a "quick alignment" plate in place of cam bolts. That way they can speed up the assembly of the trucks. He said anytime an F150 truck comes in and needs a complete alignment, he has to install a cam-bolt set.
