Nathan posted today about an upcoming battle with Lymphoma (cancer).

Didn't make a big deal of it, and many of you may have skipped the post because the subject listed sounded like another lost race or something.

This young man (23 I think) has been a great supporter of this board and I know him through the board as a really good guy.

Hey Nathan,

Keep your head up and your spirits high! The advancements in curing this disease have come a LONG way over the past decade.

I've had people in my immediate family battle cancer...but that was 17 years ago. Modern medicine is incredible nowdays, and they're learning more about getting to a 100% cure rate all the time.

My family and I wish you nothing but the best, and will keep you in our earnest prayers. Regardless of what some here think, God is alive and at work today...we just don't always like the answers we get, or the circumstances we're in.

Keep up the positive spirit, though, and I know your treatment will be easier to bear!

Thanks a lot for all the encouragement. This thing hit me out of the blue and It was really quite unexpected. I feel optimistic knowing that there are so many people than thinking of me and I am glad that others who have had problems have been able to turn to this board as well. I found out for a fact that God works in mysterious ways. This is only one test of many that you face in your lifetime. We all know that you will pass this test and the many more that will come your way. My family and I have you in our prayers. The recovery is going to be tough too so say strong and keep the head above water. (We are still waiting for the seqeal, that was one great show. I had to show it to all my frienda at work & neighbors.

Wow! I really cant believe this. I only had the pleasure to meet Nathan once but I feel I like I have known him for a long time because of this board. I just got home from the HALO meet, and when I read this post and Nathans other post my stomach just dropped. I am sorry you have to go through this Nathan and my prayers are with you. Its things like this that really put life in perspective. Lightnings dont really seem that important anymore. But it seems to me that God has used this board in a special way to show his glory. I think its great that we are able to bring problems like this to each other in a way that would be other wise impossible. It also seems that it is turning many to prayer and thats wonderful. The Lord chooses to work out his will through prayer. Nathan, I know you have the kind of attitude to beat this thing, and you know you have all of our support. Hi Nathan,
There are two ways you can go through this thing--Alone or with help. I spent most of my life facing all my problems alone. There's a better way. Ask Jesus Christ to help. I wish I hadn't waited so long to wise up. For being what many considered to be a pretty smart guy, I was really dumb.
