Aweful trip home from Ennis
Well I had a blast at ennis tonight w/ all the f150 guys. Even had some good runs in moms stang. But after we left we were heading through downtown ennis on the way home and some guy in a chevy berreta rear-ended big bro(cr1028), then the guy ran, brough caught him and got license, but wasn't really any damage to his truck. Then heading down 45 on the way home i had moms cruise control set at 75 cause the speed limit was 70, then it narrows and changes to 55(unknown to me) and i see this hill, so i slow down to 70 knowing how cops like to hide on the other side of hills. Sure enough there's a cop, i slow down to 65 and then he pulls me over. Comes up to the car and gives me a ticket for going 80 in a 55. Not exactly sure where 80 came from? Anyways, that pretty much ruined the whole night for me. Did have alot of fun though, Thanks guys. Nice meeting all of you and sixpipes it was a pleasure talking to the great one again. Mumbly:sweet lights and truck.

Lil_bro,
What a way to end a good day at the track. At least no one was hurt though.
I'm really getting irritated with the way these highway patrol officers work, probably because I just got my 3rd absolutely pointless ticket (in my stang). It was midnight and I was doing 70 on a 65 mph freeway, although I was doing 65 most of the time. I was actually watching my speed just like you and got a ticket for doing "approximately 76." I really didn't think he was pulling me over for speeding I thought maybe my license plate is about to fall off. I told my brother who is a public defender, he laughed and said the cop was probably at the end of his shift and wanted to get one last ticket for the day. Are these cops forgetting that they are suppossed to protect and serve not play some kind of points game at others expense?

The speed limit is 65 @ night though Lil_bro. Anyways, I was pissed when the guy hit me and ran. I was jumping over curbs and parking lots chasing this stupid idiot. He was definitely running because he turned his lights of and wasn't even stopping at stop sign. I had my high-beams on so I could see the license, after I got the number, I stopped chasing him. Went to the police station and the guy said there wasn't any damage but I told the guy that I wanted that idiot to get in trouble for something, I don't know if he will or not but at least my truck is ok. Man these trucks are tuff.

Hey Brimstone, what can you do, right? Anyways, mine was on 45 in some lil ol' town. Don't think anything really exciting goes own over there so this probably brightens this guys day. I'll just have to remember to go 50 down 45 the rest of the time so it's not even an issue.

Yeah, I really hate when cops do that kinda stuff. If I am breaking the law, then fine, nail 'em to the wall, but if not, leave me alone. I'll be the first to admit, there are some really great cops out there; ones that really make me feel safe. It just seems, though, that for every one of those there are 3 more waiting to "give it" to John Q Citizen for the sake of meeting a quota. I can't even begin to count the number of times I have been at someone's house studying till 2 or 3 in the morning, only to find that a cop has come out of his hidey-hole to follow me back to my place across town. If the CSPD really wanted to do us all a favor, why don't they hit the Welsh/Holleman area and find some real criminals. I'll admit, speeding is a problem, but when I see you riding my ***, I'm not gonna "make a break for it." Once you have run my plate, made your presence obvious, and had your fun, take off. Hell, I guess college kids in nice trucks don't shoot back, tho. Looks like we'll all just have to settle for being easy targets until we make Sheriff or Chief of Police.
Sorry about the rant, but I needed that. It just seems that I get just as much negative attention in the L as I do positive.

Man, looks like I missed all the real action.
Cr - Lucky the guy ran in to the back of your truck. Maybe you can get a settlement(when they catch him) for pain & suffering.
Lil_bro - Hope they don't double the fine for being in a work area. That would really be a bummer. Hopefully you can take defensive driving and get rid of the ticket. Did you beat the Auto-stang on your last run?

Hey sixpipes, I smoked all the mustangs i went up against tonight. On my last run, against the black mustang, I slipped going into 3rd gear and didn't get it all the way in and still beat him by .2 something. I had alot of fun, one of the best times at the track. Too bad the big bad bear of Wilmer had to catch me. I don't think that it will be doubled due to construction, because I believe and was told that it only doubles if its during the work progress, kinda like the workers have to be working when you're speeding, not really sure though. How'd you do on that last run? Did cooling down help at all? Talk to ya later.
