Something to sober some up, it can happen to you.
A terrible tragedy at a Club Si Meeting. http://forums.clubsi.com/ubb/Forum2/HTML/005985.html
I came a crossed this at the LS1 site, I read the message board at Club Si for a while, not that I would buy an Civic Si, but they are neat.

One more reason not to race on the street.I know they were'nt but you just never know when it is your time.We should all learn from this.Life is waaaaay to short.Live life to the extreme but do it in a safe way!
That is truly sad. This is one reason that we should be as carefull as possible while in a pack. All it take is one mess up to create a large accident.
Things happen in strange ways, hopefully this will make us think.

Well 2000,
We've had our words, but this totally sucks.
I wouldn't want that to happen to anyone, you have to pick your kills carefully today. Not only the person, but the place also.
This is coming from a guy that got 13 place at Daytona in 1983 superbike AMA race.
I was stupid enough to place a contract on a RC51, when I was called today about it we (me and dealer) agreed that it was OK for me to back out of the contract. Deposit refunded and all.
When stuff like this happens you have to react very quickly and accurately or you crash and possible die.
A little romping on it, and all of us can have a hoot, but driving down a dark mountain road that's notorious, is something that I can proudly state, "I WOULD NOT DO THAT ANY MORE".
15 years ago I would of done it, and passed everyone, or died trying!

There is a lesson here.
We have vehicles that can get us into bad trouble if we drive beyond our limits. And sometimes it's damn tempting to run at thos limits.
I hope and pray we never have anything like that to report here.
