Thumbs up A Good Night

Hi all,

Just got back from meeting up with Brian, Eric, and CA. Had a chance to drink beers and shoot the s**t with them, and to top it off, got a nice SS kill on the way home. To be charitable, it was a new convertible with temporary tags, so he might not have wanted to wring it out, but I think I gave him a nice (for me) surprise anyway. I don't think I owe him too much, though as we went light to light as we came to a freeway onramp, so he had some inkling of what he was up against. We staged at the light with a left turn onto the 470 onramp. I was on the outside. Neither one of us got a great jump (a couple of coronas at h ters will do that to you), and he edged me a little on the inside as we came around the corner. I pulled on him from about 20-50 mph and managed to get my nose in front to about 70 and as the lanes merged, he backed out. We both exited at the same offramp and gave the thumbs up.

All in all, a very good night. It was the first time other than on this board that I have had the opportunity to chat with other L fanactics and I really enjoyed it. It was also the first time a waitress ever came up to my table and said that we had "made her night." Whoops! What was the tip we gave her CA? I know I asked her not to grab my thing...

I am not a lighting owner, but I have to give you credit for the good kill, but what were you thinking when you drove after drinking? I am not trying to be your mother, but it isn't the smartest thing in the world if you really like your truck. That is all that I can say....but nice kill.

nice kill

Somehow I knew that once you mentioned "after a few coronas" someone would come in & chastise you about drinking & driving. Need to be careful what you say around here.

Wheels,

Tell me it wasn't silver with a blonde on the passenger side....Been there did that on 6th Ave before Colorado Blvd. Smoked him but I was hesitant to post on it being as it seems to be a general concensus among a few that I make up my 1/4 times, so I may as well make up my kills too right? Anyway, guy gave me a thumbs up after I killed him thru three lights.

Cool

CA, Eric & Wheels,

Thanks for the get together. You can't beat a few buckets and some *****!!!!

A fun night with good people. Frank says that when we return, we will stay an extra day(Saturday) and go to the track with you guys.

Anyway, it was good meeting everyone and seeing the 3 trucks. Next time we need to get red....

Wheels...What were you thinking??? "Don't grab my thing???" Just kidding.. We will be laughing about that for a while.

Next trip we will bring plenty of ones and a bottle of Tequilia. I am not eating the worm.....That should make for a nice Friday night before the races, right CA??......

If any of you come to the east(Home of the 13's & tire shreading at will) feel free to drop me a line and we can hook up again.

Thanks

Thumbs up

CA, if your making stuff up, i'm sorry, you are not very good at it. since i'm a married man of 20yrs, i'm probably better at this, so step back, please:

i'm sitting at stale green light smoking some crack, when a brand new ferrari F-50 pull right up on my *** and starts blowing the horn!, it's one of those weird euro horns. scares the hell out of me, and i almost drop my pipe! so i give him the 1-finger "signal" out the window to go around, when i realize, i'm in the fast lane and everyone else is at a standstill trying to turn right into the new superwallymart. i figure i'll give them a show when the now red light turns green, so i arm my big 50lb medical nitrous tank laying back there comfortably on my Bedrug. light turns green and i hammer it covering the F50 in good ol USA tire smoke. i'm feeling pretty good about now, when all of a sudden a red flash pulls up along side of me, and i realize it's none other than the Pope himself at the wheels of that Italian supercar. i didn't recognise him at first because he couldn't go with the big hat in that little car, he was wearing his driving beanie, and he meant business! so did I, a race is a race, and i only hoped he didn't summons any "help", if you know what i mean. he starts pulling on me by about 5-6cars, when all of a sudden smoke starts coming out of his car. next thing i know he's spilling oil all over the street, and i go into a spin and pass him up going backwards. he gives me thumbs up , as i tap my brakes and try to straighten out. i'm sure he's telling a different story to his buds in the Vatican, but thats the truth,, honest

Hi all,

I knew I would take a little flak for that, and I appreciate everyone's sentiments in the chastisement - point taken.

CA - Yes, it was silver, but there was no blonde in the passenger seat. Could be she got tired of getting smoked??? .

Trust CA when she says she smoked the Camaro (three times, in case she forgot to mention). I heard it with my own ears. Nothing else good to say, just trying to watch her back. Not that you need a guy's help, CA!

BBQ - LMAO! =)

It's not that you have to be careful about what you say in here. It's that you have to be careful about what you DO out there.

Everyone has a responsibility for their own safety and the safety of others on the road. Not to mention, not bending their Lightnings.

Have fun, but be safe.

Wheels,

Don't let it get to you. If you weren't in the condition to drive we wouldn't have let you behind the wheel. ^5 on the kill. Yay us.

Duck,

Thanks baby.
