Now what?
I am installing my Bassani full exhaust, Superchip and Airaid filter kit at the same time this weekend. I am thinking that next I may go for a shift kit and then maybe the 4.10 gears. After that if that's still not enough I may add the giggle gas. Does anyone know of any other companies besides NOS that make a kit for the Lightning and if so are they as good or better than NOS? Also for those of you running nitrous how much horsepower and what type of setup are you using? I am looking for a system that will be primarily for street use with maybe an occasional track run. Thanks in advance.

I don't know if they have any specific kits for the Lightning.

Ask High Risk,What nitrous is good for times?
I dont think NOS is worth ruining your motor for 2-3 tenths.I was at the drags where a guys NOS went off by accident without it running and BANG it blew his motor to pieces. No thank you........Drive thru

I only drive the thing but Dallas Mustangs said 'you don't had the right pistons to do this NOS stuff' and walked away.
They never tried to sell me anything, nor have they even contacted me after the first set of dyno runs!
Do what you want, but I kind of like to run what you drive.
Some guys in here like to explore the possibilities. Cool good for them.
Me I like to make improvements and like to use with them on the street.
To each their own.
No problem.

an 80-100 dry nos shot is tiny in the world of drag racing, but max with this blown motor. that is providing you have a chip to retard the timing to even control this small amount. any more than that, and you better look at going inside the motor for better pistons and gaskets, maybe even a better crank. you can't get a better intercooler though, -200drgF, this stuff rocks!!!!

You wanna experiment with nitrous?
Go take a Dodge truck and hit the button at an idle. This will give you the best bang for the buck!!No really Puting nitrous on a lightning is a waste(MY OPININ).Youve got to drill little holes in your factory plastic,In your bed and so on.All for a couple of tenths. And then you are lucky if you dont ruin your motor.I could not hurt a lightning like that

I bet if you ask a question about a CD Changer, you will get about 100 responses....!!!!!

Seriously though, everyone is probably a bit busy, I think they will come around. Man....I know a few around here have had much success with the NOS but it scares me if something goes wrong.

I was considering doing the same thing down the road, but I too am a little scared of putting an NOS on a blown motor for fear of killing any waranty claim. Let us know how it works out. I would imagine in a truck you could put a pretty big bottle in the bed or behind the seat. I have heard that there is a set up where it is on all the time but only gives the gas on WOT.
