Nice looking Expy.

When are you getting the blower for it?

I hope you get a Paxton, because it beats all aftermarket superchargers.

Paxton makes a good supercharger, but the ATI Procharger will get you more power.

Paxton 45% increase

ATI Procharger 50-55% increase

Thanks for the compliments, guys.

Yes, Doug...silver is awesome. I've always been a sucker for a nice looking silver vehicle.

As far as the blower goes...I have too many "toys" to mess with. All three of my other vehicles have forced induction.

And while I like the new NOVI a lot, no one can argue with a simple Vortech S-trim that produces the #s you see below on my 100% street legal '90 LX.

But, for a heavy truck that has a programmed shift rpm of only 4900rpm...if I were to do some sort of blower, it would have to be an Eaton or a Whipple.

WA 2 FST,

Very nice ride! How much did it cost you for the lightning bumper? Did you just order it from your dealer? I have a couple of deep scratches on mine, plus a bunch of little nicks and chips off the paint, I'd like to know if it's more worth it to buy a new bumper or get the one I have fixed up.

Thanks,
Mike

Hey Mike,

Yes, I just ordered it through the dealer. The bumper itself is $325.

SVT had one (black) at the Knott's Ford show. Lightning instruments, drivetrain, seats, wheels and mono paint. They are seeing how much intrest it is generating to see if they want to produce it.

Nice to see you have the fastest color Did you take the braces for the tonnue (sp) out of the bed? It looks flat. I was thinking about doing this but did not know if it would flap around too much or what not.

No, Floyd91, I did not take the braces out...just lowered them as far as the adjustment would allow. No issues with it like that, though. Its sat parked in a rainstorm ONE time, but without the braces, I'd have been in big trouble.

Wes, your conversion is almost done. Now you need the side ground effects, and side exit exhaust (Both sides) to complete the look.

Yes, and lower it. I would do all of those things if I drove it around as my primary transportation. But, this is my wife's vehicle.

We have two small children. The lighted step rails are _imperative_! Looks better with the ground effects, but those are not practical for us.

The side exhaust would be cool. If I get a catback for my L, I may have the muffler shop weld on the stock L tips to the Expy...but it will still exit behind the passenger rear tire.

Wife said no exhaust mods on this truck. Actually, the tone is very good for a stock vehicle (like the L's is good for stock, at least IMO). I've already installed a Superchip and am awaiting a K&N inlet tube/filter assembly to install. I seriously doubt I'll ever fork over the $$ for a blower on this thing. I'd rather spend that on something else.

I agree with your thoughts on the mods to make it look even better! I just can't justify them with what we use the vehicle for.
