Exhaust tips in chrom?

Hello everybody!

Little question: At my '02 Lightning are the exhaust tips a little bit "ugly". I would have gladly chromium-plated tips. Is this possible despite warmes/heat of the exhaust tips?

Thank you a lot for any help and info!

Dear greetz from me, Steve (Switzerland)

LFP

Here is a link to some exhaust tips. Contact Mark at LFP and see if he will ship to Switzerland. Due to your location, you might be better off getting your stock tips chromed or having them polished.

I have seen stock exhaust tips in very very bad condition, and with a little elbow grease they polished up and looked great.

These are the Magnaflow tips that come on the JDM Silver Bullet exhaust. They fill the gap a lot better than the stockers, and very shiny.

I rode in a friends the other day who usually posts on HALO. He lives approx. 45 min. from me. He owns an 01 that lays down an honest 700+ hp. He had those 3in. chrome tips, I call them bluey pipes, that you see hanging out the back of pickups. He had them weilded together and turned up sideways like stock. The sound was undescribable. I'm next. By the way that was one wicked ride.

Just a quick question, does changing the tips alone alter or changes the sound of the exaust note

See my thread from this time last year. I went through the same process with my stock tips.

Remember they are CERAMIC coated, NOT CHROME.

In all sincerety, yes, going from 2in to 2.5 in, no, going from 2.5 to 3.5 or 4in, yes. I said 3in in my oirginal post I meant 3.5in. It sounds deeper and throatier, I have been there and done that on my F-100 custom cab w/429CJ. And it does'nt sound like a Sh_t can that's on all ther rice burners.
