It's expensive at $330, I was just suprised at how well it's built.

I would spent the $330 elsewhere.

Is there any other benefit to the interchiller except for the track cool down.

The only reason I don't loke those is if a fan goes bad, your airflow goes down to almost nill, being the shroud is blocking the free flow air. Its eficiency is predicated on the fans moving the air through their own openings.

The same can be said for your radiator.

Errr, well, when would the intercooler water get warm?

If it's uber hot outside (e.g., Arizona).

After a 1/4 mile blast.

During sustained high-boost driving.

From a previous post on this board (not mine):

"Well about that restriction. I did my own testing without the system installed. Cruising on the freeway for 25 miles at 80mph in drive (3rd gear) turning about 3600 rpm. Intake temp on the 2nd IAT sensor (the one in the intake manifold), I had a constant temp of 135 degrees. Then I put the InterChiller system on and did the same run with the fans off. Constant temp of 138 degrees. Then with the fans on, constant temp of 110 degrees. What do you think about your restriction now? Wouldn't you have the same issues with the engine radiator also. It has a shroud too, does it restrict the air flow? No. The fans will spin as the air rushes by them. The best part of this system is the shroud. Because it pulls the air through the whole intercooler, not just where the fans are mounted."

Nice to know it actually works, will post some data soon after the install is done. Plan on using my Nordskog temp gauge with high temp recall to monitor temps in 4 different configurations.

1) OEM Heat Exchanger by itself

2) Dual OEM Heat Exchangers

3) Dual OEM Heat Exchangers with Interchiller

4) Dualy OEM Heat Exchangers, Intechiller and Mister System

Hopefully I'll get much lower than 110 degrees

Its hard to believe only a 3 degree increase without the fans on. But the facts seem to be there. I stand corrected.
