THANKS GORDON! That is VERY good news...yeah, the scratches are really deep. I should have mentioned them when I first got the truck, so they would have replaced it for me...but I really dont want the stooges at the dealership touching my baby. In my experience, they tend to break more things than they were supposed to fix. Hehe. I'll just try to replace it myself, with an expedition lens. Thanks again.

Question Scratched Guage Lens

Anyone know if the clear plastic lens that covers our guage pod is the same as the standard F-150? The parts department at the dealership told me they can only order the whole gauge pod for the Lightning, but they can get just the lens for the F-150's. Is the odometer button in the same spot as the F-150? I hope the lens is the same, cuz a new gauge pod is $302.00, and probably $4000 for install in Denver, after you factor in the conversions for altitude, and barometric pressure.

AtomHeart,

I know for sure that the lens is the same as that for an Expedition, so I would presume that the F150 lense would also be the same.

AtomHeart,

If the lense scratches are not too deep, try 3M Plastic Polish. It may clean it up well enough that you won't need to replace the lense.
