I learned a valuable lesson today, Never go to the track with less than a 1/4 tank of gas. It started as a "miss" during shifts, and as my fuel level got below 1/4 the truck starved itself the entire way down the track. Well luckily nothing messes up, and after I finally figured out what happened I was able to try my nitrous setup.

1st Video. Me vs Whip. This was not his best run of the night, but was my worst as the fuel level was just below a 1/4 and the truck was starving of fuel really bad.

I don't know why the fuel messed with me allnight. All last year I ran right at 1/4 tank and never had a problem. Maybe my fuel gauge is a little off now I don't know. Anyways now I know to run at least a 1/2 tank.

My mods: 6#, Apten, LT's, PSP Predator, Converter, SBTB, E-fan, FTVB, Compucar Kit.

 

I can never really tell 1/8 mile times. About what would you run in the 1/4?

BTW, When I experienced what you did, "truck starving for gas" it was a clogging fuel filter. However rule number one when running Nitrous (or when you launch strong and cut a good 60ft) you DEF need more than 1/4 tank....

bluejay432000, Yea I thought the same thing after I saw the title.

chicosvt, Yes stock block, and on slicks. Notice that I only ran 1/8th, I'm not sure I have the guts to run the nitrous in the 1/4 yet, especially in the conditions we had that night. It was 42 degrees out. Both the local tracks I go to are 1/8th.

I have ran 12.4 in the 1/4 without the nitrous in 80 degree weather with a 7.9 1/8. My best 1/8 is 7.7 without the nitrous in high 40 degree weather.
