Arrow Fun Ford Weekend, Houston---May 6,7

Hey all,

Anyone going to make it down to Baytown (Houston) for the FFW event? I will be there. Won't be racing my truck, but utilizing its "other" great qualities as a tow vehicle.

If you make it and see a white '99 with a trailer and a dark blue LX with plates that read WA 2 FST, you've found me! Please stop by and say hi.

Great Chuck!

Looking forward to meeting up with you and Tommy again. If you get there early enough (we'll be there REAL early on Sat), you're more than welcome to pit with us. We usually have a grill, lots of eats/drinks, and plenty of shade via a canopy.

Hey Guys,
I'm a little behind about this meet, are the ligthnings going to meet anywhere special?
Thanks, and I will be there if work allows, but ya'll will have to take it easy on the hotdog jokes, as the poor truck is a little touchy because she has gotten slower with this heat.

Wes and Wyldman, I plan on being there for the weekend also. Havent quite decided on whether im going to run the truck or my stang yet. Those of you running thier trucks, what class will you be running in? Im thinking about the mod motor class, $7500 top winnings! Hope to see everyone there!

The problem with mod motor is that you have to pre-register for it...get a FFW # and everything.

Although if you want to run the truck in Top Truck, then you have to do the same thing.

Cheapest way to race would be to run Street Ford which is a DOT bracket class. $35 for 2 days of racing.

Wes, Wyldman and Alvin,
I'm hoping to be there towing my green 92 Mustang with some sort of Lightning truck :x
Jeff will be in California
I've been busting my butt getting the green Mustang back on the streets-without any luck, but by then it should be ready (fingers crossed)

Maybe we can all pit together?

Seeya then!

Did yall want to make this a Rally?? I'm thinking of coming and entering in the Show. Might not have the Superchip deal figured out yet. If someone will send me some info on lodging and such then I can set up the rest I believe.

Buck,

You can stay with me if you like. If ya'll wanna make this a rally, the more the merrier, but i think the pits are gonna bea bit crowded.

Wes & Stace
I would love to pit w/ya'll!

Sounds great jarmstro. I will appreciate any help on that.

As for the Rally idea I wasn't thinking of anything more except for a very large group of f150s showing up. No big drives out in the country. Just all of us enjoying the racing. I have been to the Fun Ford Weekend in Dallas so I know what is going to happen. I just was wondering if we wanted to make a large showing.

Wyldman you must have been writing while I was. I might take you up on that pending if we get a bunch of truck or not. I'm also not sure if Blackhawk is going to be there as well.

I'm going straight to the track Friday afternoon. I'm leaving my place up here north of Dallas Friday AM. I'm going to get a pit spot and race Friday night. Leave the trailer there Friday night, so I'll have a spot come early Sat.

If you haven't been to one of these, it is NOT like a normal Friday or Sat. of racing. There will be probably 600 cars. Pit spots are hard to find by 10am Sat. I am pitting with about 5-6 friends right now and those who get there early enough are MORE THAN WELCOME to join us. We'll have plenty of eats, drinks, and will have a canopy set up for shade. Just bring a lawn chair.

There's no way to "save" pit spots, either. It's first come, first served, and people who try to save them b/c immediate targets for abuse. That's just the way it is. My humble advice is to get there EARLY, and then relax once you've gotten a decent pit spot.

I can tell you that we normally like to be about halfway down on the _outside_ of the pit area (meaning away from the stands). This way its easy to move the cars around, etc.

I will be there VERY early Sat. AM even though I'll already have a pit spot. I'll be there at 6am. If you show up at 8-9am, it will take you over an hour to get in the gate...trust me.

Oh, and 1BADTK, you do not need to pre-register. There's no discount anymore for doing so, so I never do.

Texas Chapter,

Ok.... so I feel foolish . I read your post again and understand now. I will make a point of getting info for you tonight by the way. I live in League City so I'm not too far from the track.

Wes is right you really need to get there early if you can. The line is gonna be longgggg. I'm going to show(not ready to race yet) so I won't mind waiting in line too much, mebbe.

This is gonna be fun.
