How Low?? (Stock Ride Height Question)
How Low?? (Stock Ride Height Question)
I was just wondering how much lower the L is stock compared to a regular 2wd F150? Can stock L suspension setup be used as a "lowering" kit on a 2wd base F150?
Thanks for the responses,

Well i was quite shocked myself upon laying my stock ones next to the svt coils. They have same number of coils, and appear to be spaced out the same. Now ive been told before from the guy i bought them from that he thought the lower control arm was were the 1" was acheived. I believe my coils have another 10-15k more miles on them then the svt ones do, so maybe mine have setteled a little more.
Svt coil is the one with the red tag, (the left one)

i think it also depends on what year the Svt L is that depends on how low it is... the 03/04s sit higher in back than the previous years the front ive heard is about 1 inch lower than a stock f150. i have 03 svt leaf springs on my reg cab flairside with 3" jlp drop shackle.
and i cut 1 coil off in the front which gave it a 2" drop or so. my rear sits 1.5 inches higher than the front.

I have the stock springs and shackles from my 02 L. They have about 14,000 miles on them.
If you or anyone else here wants them, I'll UPS ship them to you if you pay for the ride. They are heavy but $15 should cover it. Just e-mail me your address.
