I have to say that the new mats are the bomb.

I had the old ones and replaced them with the new
last year ... They are 100 percent ...

What does the backing look like on these and what color is closest to stock?

 

There is no color that I consider close to stock, but the Dark Charcoal Grey #14 is the same color as the center section of a Lightning's seats and dark grey trim on the door panels and dash. It's the color of choice by 99% of my customers. Black is also nice!
