Has any of the 2000 lightning had problems with leaking intercoolers. From reading past posts several 1999 had problems with the intercoolers. Seriously looking at buying a 2000, but I would like to know that Ford SVT has corrected the problem. Has Ford SVT ever officially stated why the intrcoolers were failing and what they were doing to correct the problem?

 

Someone post that SVT thought it was stress related caused by flexing.

Someone stated that a new intercooler hit the production line in march 2000. I can't verify the source of this information so it may be just a rumor. I don't want to deal with this again. this is why I sold my 99. i am holding out until this question is answered and I am finding it harder and harder to wait. Life just is not the same without a Lightning
