Thumbs up Jarmstro\got Dyno done

Well I had it done today
Temp: 71
Bar pres:29.60

1st run: 323.9 hp
385.7 ft-lbs

2nd run: 327.8 hp
390.2 ft-lbs

3rd run: 333.9 hp
394.3 ft-lbs

this truck is awesome, all runs were 15 mins apart. Just kept getting better and better.

Had a problem w/ the air fuel ratio
It went off the scale to about 18!!!
What are you guys running?
This is not with in limits, I don't think, right?
This sounds like the fuel reg, right?
Could be his Dyno though, guess I should take it somewhere else to see whats happening

Auto,
Just curious, how many miles did you have on the truck? Just wondering if it is broke in.

Doesn't look like the Flowmasters hurt the power any...time to get a couple .

Autothrottle,

Looks good. The flows did not seem to hurt anything. Curious as to where your RPM was on your max torque.

I had a couple dyno passes last weekend with 1900 miles on my L'

1st pass Max power=314.4 and Max torque=397.5
2nd pass Max power=307.6 and Max torque=410.9

My L' is bone stock with the factory air filter too.

It seems some of the '99s produced a tad bit
more power stock. No big deal just us 2000 guys and gals just get to buy more goodies to put on our trucks.

Main thing is enjoy what you have.... and always remember somebody else is always faster. How much money do you want to spend to keep up with the big boys and girls?

Have a great weekend!

These things start loosening after about 3k miles. You'll notice more power then.

Ya I guess the flows did'nt hurt me.
I'm very happy w/ what I pulled for being all stock but the flows & X pipe.

4D THNDR I would recommend the flows the sound is what you after without hurting perf
It sounds great!!!!!

The guy I took it to did the dyno in mph not rpm. so the mph that i was producing the most HP was 110 mph
most FT-LBS was 96 mph

I'm not going to got back to this place (a friend recommened it to me ) it was a HOLE IN THE WALL, and all young kids like 19/20
so I've got to find another place close hopfuly.
Air fuel mix is bothering me
Pos his mechine so need another DYNO RUN

I had the Flows on my '99 and yes, they do sound great. I never got to get to the track though to see if they hurt performance, so I was debating on whether to spend the money for this one to have them. Your numbers show that they have little affect, so I'll probably have it done again.

Hey Mark, Sal here. A few questions about your A/F problem. 1) Where did they measure the A/F ratio from? If they did it in the tailpipe then just forget anything they told you because that's waste of time. The proper way to measure A/F ratio is to either weld a second O2 bung close to the stock one (use the drivers side upstream on OBDII vehicles) or to remove the sensor and temporarily use the stock bung. 2) When are you seeing such a high A/F ratio? If it was on decelleration, that's normal. If it was on accelleration, that's a problem. But if you really had 18:1 A/F ratio at WOT on a blown vehicle, you would have blown a head gasket or burned a piston long ago. I doubt those readings are anywhere near correct...

Autothrottle, did they use a "Sniffer", a little "hose" they shove up your tail pipe?
(sounds nice doesn't it?)
They also may have taped the ECC (AutoTap), but either way if they told 18:1 and believed it, you just have to wonder.

If your getting 18:1 (with any motor Load), you would either be knocking so bad you would make like 2hp, or crispy crittered your pistons.

They measured from the tailpipe.
The L is running very strong, Thats why I want to take it somewhere else. I think the sniffer he was using was bad, but the readings were
30 mph: 15
55 mph: 13 at this point it goes through up
56-59 mph: 18 and stays there

all three runs samething within a 1 or 2 mph.
at deaccelleration it dropes all the way down
Thanks for the info guys

Jarmstro
I used the X pipe that the exhaust place custom made. They do very good work and they know thier stuff.
I took it to:
Kinney's Muffler Shop

Autothrottle,

Interesting..... to bad that Arlington wasn't a little closer.

The X pipe must be pretty short but then again length shouldn't matter in this case.

Let's see my daughter and son-in-law live in the Ft Worth area and Arlington isn't that far away. Mebbe time for a visit .
