Original should be black with an aluminum 'tripod' cage behind it. Measure the diameter across the face of the pulley and post it up. With that, you can approximate the added boost.

I just measured the lower pulley and its 10 inchs in diameter give or take a few cm's. Is that a modded pulley or stock??

That big is an 8# (I think) the stock pulley is 7" or 7.5" - something like that. A 6# is usually 9". The diameter varies a bit among the various manufacturers. If you're running that large of a lower you want to ensure that your tune is spot-on.

From the looks of it, it's at least a 6 and possibly an 8. If you've been into it and it's still together, it has likely been tuned for it. Any possibility of contact with the previous owner? It would be real nice and much cheaper for you if you knew exactly what you've got.

Is there anyway for you to snap a picture of it. Take a picture, create a photo gallery on here and then insert the image in a post. As far as a tune for it. Maybe there is a chip still in the truck if he did not use a programmer. Check up under the dash on the passenger side and maybe you'll get lucky and find a chip? Are there any other mods you can see. Does it have an open air filter on it. Common first time mods on these trucks are a chip or tuner, pulley, and some sort of air kit.

Snap some pics of the engine and we'll take it from there

That is an 8lb'er alright, which is kind of rare. Most people shy away from anything over 6lb lowers because of lower end giving way if you go higher. I had an 8lb on my 03 with a good tune and absolutely loved it. When I swaped down to a 4lb it felt like someone took 2 cylinders away from my truck. Night and day difference. You're welcome to email your pic to me and I'll host/post for you if you don't know how. One way to find out for certain if the truck has been tuned for that pulley is; from a dead stop simply let off the brake and then nail the gas. Don't let up till you catch traction. If it takes about 30 seconds to stop spinning then you have a decent tune for that much pulley. If she comes apart then you didn't have the right tune. Of course we'd need a video of that to be sure though....
