Thumbs up Firebird Raceway results

Had a great time last night w/JoeLightning at the raceway. Sorry we didn't see Yoda or JRW67, what happened guys?

Conditions were less than adequate. It was 80 degrees on the first run and dropped to 75 degrees by the end of the night. It was very windy all day resulting in dust on track and we had a head wind.

2000 miles on the L with Sals filter. Have Sals chip on order.
1st run (tire pressure 32):
60': 2.273
14.251 @ 97.81

2nd run (tire pressure 28):
60': 2.156
14.098 @ 97.52

3rd run (tire pressure 25):
60': 2.141
14.103 @ 97.27

On the 3rd run something strange happened on the 1-2 shift. It was like it slipped or hit fuel cutoff or rev limit for just a split second as it shifted.

I'm very pleased with the results, as the conditions were less than ideal, and the first time I had the L at the track w/250 miles on it with cooler outside air temperatures and no head wind, I ran 14.3's and 14.4's. Desert Corvette Association was there making plenty of runs. The C5's were running consistent 13.7' - 13.8's. The C4's were in the 14.3's - 14.4's (my C4 best run is a 13.97). Had conditions been better I'm sure I could have ran a 14.0 or slightly better.

Yoda,
Yeah, you didn't miss any good run times, just the cool social aspect of the night. By the time I hit it next time, should have the chip.
