Hey guys! I'm looking into installing electric exhaust cutouts in place of the first set of cats, closest to the Bassani shortys. Can anyone tell me what diameter the stock midpipe is? Also, can you think of any possible issues (ex. O2 sensors, clearance, etc.) that i might want to consider? I'd appreciate any input, thanks!

 

I wanted to do that sooo bad, anytime I posted on it people talked me out of it, but to tell you the truth I wish I did, GO FOR IT!!

To answer your question I believe 2-1/2"
My High Flow Cats were custom made for my original set up, Long Tubes and then right back into the stock pipes and cat back




My Header collector is 3"
so as you see here my HF Cats were made 3 x 2-1/2"



Wait for someone else to confirm, but it's 2-1/2 as I remember it ?????

Thanks for the reply/pics Rob, i think it'll be pretty cool too. Somewhat tame on the street and loud as hell when i want it to be. I didn't even think about cutouts until we put one on my buddy's Grand National this past weekend, man does it sound cool! I figure if it sounds that good on a 6 cyl. the it's gotta sound GREAT the L
