Unhappy Sympathies...

It looks like it is going to be a busy week and I am not sure if I will get a chance to do more than throw a few side comments in so while I have a sec I wanted to sit down and ask for your thoughts while you are praying for Blues Mom.

A year ago Thursday not but a few miles from my house 2 students walked in to Columbine high school and took the lives of several fellow class mates, a teacher and finally themselves. This will be the first anniversary for the Columbine tragedy and if you could say a little prayer for the kids that will have to go to school and remember what happened and grieve again, for the parents and for everybody who was touched by this, not just here and at Columbine but everywhere because even though it hit so close to home there are kids everywhere that have to go to school in the shadow of this and might wonder sometimes how their day will end. And if you think of it, please say a special prayer for my friend Angie and her family, she lost her father, Dave Sanders in this ordeal. Thanks.

My prayers go out to the Sanders family, and to all of those touched by this tragedy. I, like most of us, wish the answers to these situations were tangible. Unfortunately, they seem to be just out of reach.

Peace and Love to all, Jake…

I know your pain all too well. May 20th 1998 Kip Kinkel came to school. Shooting through the halls and in the cafeteria. That day changed my life, it changed my outlook on life, it changed the way I felt and thought. That is something no one should have to deal with, let alone see. I still have trouble sleeping. But I guess life has its funny yet tragic ways of working.

The tangible answer is this. In war to kill one must lower the value of a human life to that of a fly. If one doesn't it's very hard to continue. This is accomplished in what is referred to as "military training"
Today children learn to KILL 5000 aliens from the planet Mongo, and then 5,000 of their fellow classmates, and then they can kill for real. All without feelings. The results of both methods are the same. The military, noticing the obvious now uses video senerios (games) which are strikingly similar to the games available today.

Jesus Christ was taken out of the schools in 1964 and it has been downhill ever sense. The parents of the perpatraters that are really to blame. You cannot abandon your children to the TV and video games and expect anything good to happen.

Hopefully, the rapture will come soon and I'll be in heaven with a fast L with an intercooler that never leaks.......
In the meantime I will pray for the survivors.

Very well said, Noelvm.

As a young father of 2 small kids (5 and 2) I realize more and more everyday how important it is that WE, the parents, do our best to instill good morals and values in them...and the only way I can do that is with Christ's help and the teaching of the Scipture.

C ya when Christ triumphantly returns.

Until then, I will certainly lift up in prayer those who have been tragically hurt physically and emotionally by acts such as the one that took place in Columbine, CO.

I am proud to be a part of a public board that has such compasionate members and believers in the Lord. WLSVTG, you and your fellow survivers are in my prayers today. Just knowing that Christ is alive and living, even on this board is in itself a comfort to you. "He Is Alive" Hope everyone celebrates that this Sunday, and everyday there after. <*)))><

VERY! VERY! well said Noelvm. Its good to have fellow believers on this board, not to mention some that believe in the rapture. The Columbine students are in my prayers as well. I encourage everyone to go to church this Sunday and celebrate the resurrection of the man who split time. This is the single greatest historical event of all "time". If anyone is in the Austin area, you are invited to come to a stadium service put on by Calvary Chapel Austin. Its at Connaly High School located off north IH35,exit Parmer, take right on north Lamar, look for field lights, cant miss it. 7:00am sunrise service and 10:00am morning service. Hope to see ya there, if the rapture dont come first. Peace out!
