I have to do some body work on the truck and need to remove it. I know it sounds like a dumb question but I just want to do it right and find out if there is any special tricks to it.

Really simple, drop the tailgate and look to the side, there are 2 bolts, undo both and the tailight will simply slide out. The lights are all twist off too.
