This Just Isn't Fair!!!
How can they do this to me? I get the L for three and half weeks, most of which was crappy weather, near freezing or raining or snowing. Really didn't even want to drive it. Gravel on the roads.Blah, Blah, Blah.
But man, it looked good in the driveway, or parked in front of the office.
But now this! They take my baby away. There going to gut it for crying out loud. I sure don't want to see what it looks like with its innards (sp?) scattered all over the shop. I think I'm going to cry.
Anywho, the good news is that the new engine arrived this afternoon. Probably won't see it 'til early next week (Good Friday and all). I'm very curious to see what date code I get for the new bullet.
Also, for those of you who may experience in-cab droning that comes and goes while sitting at a stoplight etc, etc, Ford told my tech. that a new "H" pipe is going to be available that will remedy this. They didn't think it would be available for the new engine but when it came in I could get one.
I'll certainly be going over the re-delivery with a fine tooth comb. A lot of parts have to be removed and replaced to do this job. Not really fair with only 1500 miles.
Oh well, sorry for the long post. Just need a place to vent my frustration.

That realy stinks. You realy need to look it over very slowly.
What about the H pipe?
Is this going to be an option for us or a warranty issue?

My engine was leaking a little bit of oil out of the right cylinder head and it also had some serious vibrations. SVT decided to replace the motor.

I would expect that once the new H-pipe is available that Ford would replace it as a warranty issue. Certainly sounds like what they're going to do for me. If not, it's not that big an issue, just sort of bothersome. Try playing with your heater/AC controls. When they cycle, your idle speed changes, causing the problem.
