(The first thing I need your help on is how to spell YOUR)


I've read everything I could on this site relating to filter systems.

I would like to purchase Sal's system for my new 00 but it looks like he is booked up for a long time.

Then there is Downs, K&N, Airaid, etc.

Are they all about the same?

I have read where Sals make the supercharger screem. Do the others also?

Please give me imput.

Wait for Sal or purchase one of the others?

I've got the Downs Intake its a great intake too. The same thing as Sal's but with a K&N airfilter.

 

Patience is a virtue, wait for Sal's, you won't be sorry. Get his chip while your at it, IT ROCKS!

Know your delima. I am waiting for Sal's and it lacks about 3 days being 2 months he received my order and funds. He said it would be here last week and then sent me an Email stating it would go out this week. Being patient because everyone says it works without any trips to the hardware store for left out parts or bad fit.

Bite the bullet and get in line just like you did for your bolt

A bit on the high side, but 200% more engineering and thought (does this matter, I don't know for sure, but I'm taking the safe bet here) that the other filter kits. So it may be worth it.

 

If you follow the threads, one thing becomes clear. Sal's filter system is the only one that seems to fit without modification. Its fit and finish is first rate and it bolts on easily and perfectly.

It is worth the wait!

I don't know about the others but the scream alone is worth the price!

As others have said, get the chip too - you won't be disappointed.

I owe it to Sal to comment on his products. First rate. The only thing that threw me off was the electricians tape around the chip....There for a good reason. The black C5 vette I ran with in Houston last nite will attest to the value of the chip and filter kit. Also the Transco Interceptor is an added plus. Even though it isn't from Sal I would recommend it. The pots on mine are not more than half way to the right and there is a good hard shift there...more to come. Sal thanks for everything I enjoyed tradin' my green for your speed.
