is buyin a Lightning off Ebay a no no?

 

Why would it be. Like anything else you have to check things out. I've seen some L's forsale by dealers.

 

I bought mine on ebay.....700 miles away. Site unseen.

 

Bought mine on Ebay as well. Flew out to Houston and drove it back to Atlanta (I made sure I had a return ticket in case the promised condition of the truck didn't hold true).
If the item doesn't reflect the sales description upon inspection, Ebay allows you to retract your bid even if you were the winner, but make sure to read every little detail before you bid!

 

You can get some deals out there, just make sure you check it out carefully. Don't be afraid to ask the seller questions. Also if it is a major city you might be able to find some nice soul on here or svtp to go check it out locally for you.

That's where I got mine. Be prepared to travel to see it and be sure that the sale is subject to your inspection and satisfaction. If you are flying, you can buy a one way ticket on an airline like Southwest where you won't get beat up too badly if you need to buy a return fare. Watch for water damage since there are a lot of Katrina vehicles out there.
