Royal Purple

Who's use this? I need a oil change and I've heard great things about it. Anyone with any opinions?? thanks

Been using it since I got my L in 01. 72K on the ticker and still running strong

Same here. 2001L waited for 2 oil changes with dino oil, went to RP at 6000 miles, been fine every since.

I use RP in my L and my2k 300M. No prblems here. First thing you'll notice is how much faster the engine turns over on start up. About same price as Mobil 1, RP is a little harder to find in my area

Slippery Stuff

Royal Purple is good stuff, I've used it and it seems to quite things down a little. After break-in, any of the major synthetics are good.

I had RP in for 600 miles, then this happened:




Nah, it seemed like great oil, right before the guy put me into the wall on the highway.

LOL, as soon as I put the last quart in and closed the hood, it looked like that!

That stuff goes for $7 a quart here! I thought about switching, but I havent had any problems with the Mobile 1 for the past 5 years..
