Lightning Question

Hey there, I've been a lurker around here for a long time. Everyone on this forum seems to be really nice and they all have badass trucks! I Have a questiona bout lightning prices. I'm looking at Red 2003 Lightning with 24k Miles on it, and the dealer is asking 26k. This seems a little high to me, as other lightnings with comparable mileage have been listed for as low as 18k in my area. I was just wondering what Lightnings usually go for.

I think where you are located has a big influence on the price. I paid over 26K for my '04 with just about 8k on it. Prices are pretty high here in the north east.

Good Gosh! 14.5 for an 01 and 13.2 for an 02, I paid 22k for an 02 w/39K on the OD. Book called for for 22 plus low and 24 plus high on my buy. Guess I made up the difference on the TLC of the L and all the extras. Did you mean 24.5 for the 01 and 23.2 for the 02?

OK, the lightning's i spoke about before have some shady people as owners, so I don't feel safe considering them...long story...There is a 2001 Black L with 67K miles, and its only 4 miles from my house...but the place is asking 19k. This seems like too much for such high mileage. What do you think I could talk these people down to? The dealership is a Land Rover so this truck is the cheapest thing on their lot lol. Right now I own a Black 98 Expedition 4.6L ( ) with 3K worth of audio equipement inside. I wonder what I could get on the trade in as well?

Hmm...thank you...I'll have to think about it as this truck isn't stock either. It has some Nitto tires, K&N Intake, and i beleive magnaflow exhaust...if i could get them down around 15k or less i think it would be a decent deal...67k miles isnt too bad, considering my expy has 120k and my dad's 98 f-150 with 280k lol

In Texas (small town of texas) The dealer was asking 26k for my 02' with 26k miles and i talked him down to 22k to make the deal before TTL and everything i ended up paying like right at 26k after everything was said and done and let me tell you i've never been more happy with my car/truck and i've owned alot of very nice rides. so i think you should find one from a creditable dealer and scoop it up and hold on for the ride.

Damn those are high prices.

I bought my lightning at 3 years old with 3,000 miles on it for $17k.

Right now it sits at 27,000 (1999 Lightning) With all the mods i have and as it sits in storage right now, I'd sell it for $20,000, today.

(this thing must appreciate)
