Chain Lightning
I know your a good guy Atom, from reading
"all" of your posts.
You just wanted to give everyone a good story, and share the fun & enthusiasm you had. I'm sure you were being conscientious while doing it.
I don't share "any" of my road stories here as I am extremely uncomfortable with being attacked like this.
I show only what I want people to see, and you will be better off following this advice too if you want to avoid these type of posts.
My rational 0.2 cents.

If there was an accident, you would almost certainly be considered at fault if you were speeding.
IMHO, a car or truck w/ sub 14 second power is much too fast to be racing in and out of traffic. All you are proving is who is willing to take the most chances and endanger the most innocents. Save it for the open road or the track.

Well...fair enough...but I wasn't referring to "legally at fault". BadDog had mentioned that speeding doesn't kill...speed differential kills, and that if a soccer-mom on a cell-phone would have changed lanes...how many lives would have been lost. So it sounds to me that he would consider the person driving faster at fault, rather than the person talking on the cell phone, and not paying attention or checking before they change lanes. I personally disagree with that opinion. I think that soccer moms, driving along oblivious to their surroundings, talking with thier friend debbie about what color of wall paper she's putting in the laundry room, is the most dangerous thing on the road...someone doing 70mph, when I'm doing 60mph would NEVER be a danger to ME, simply because I would see them, see that they are going faster than me, and yeild to them, letting them safely pass. My philosophy on that, is: if someone wants to do 70, I'll let them. It's none of my business.
some buddy did some digging to bring this ole dog up
BTW....... Iam all for banning cell phone calls while driving. The hands free phones are still a crop of chit! Do like we had to do when I was a kid, if you need to talk on the phone while driving, pull over and use a payphone
