Christy, I stopped over just to see what the deal was. I almost could not believe my eyes. What a huge bunch of totally immature, name calling, rude, obnoxious, disrespectfull, high schoolers. Typical GM idiots. That's the reason I stopped going to the AOL car chat rooms a few years ago. Full of rude, obnoxious, GM owners.

I am embarassed to even post at LS1.com after the experience I had earlier this week. They are abusive, and vile.

I find it sickening that they justify that behavior, by saying they have "Freedom of Speech", and that "The Internet is not real life, so therfore it's not offensive, or hurtful to some people".

I hate to break the news to them, but the Bill of Rights, and the Constitutional ammendments do not dictate your rights on message boards; TOS(Terms Of Service) does.

I think a lot of you guys can see why I get frustrated here at F-150 when I see some topics getting out of hand. We all have the potential to be jerks, but stopping the behavior before it gets to that point is the key.

Sal, if you get a chance please back me up on this thread. Just make sure to not post a sig.

i feel sorry for the real car guys/gals, over there, that have to put up with that. but the moderators must have that same mentality of the "members" posting those shock questions. the topic is "ALMOST" anything goes, which means, someone can decide what crosses the line, and apparently, nothing does.

Yup....I remember back when the board first started, and really, not a lot has changed. Don't be fooled by a few misguided folks though. I know many on that board that are really nice, helpful and great people to talk with. Like anything else, it takes a few to spoil it for the bunch.

People like that are the reason I would never think about buying an F-body again (I have had 3 in the past) Who wants do be associated with a group of a$$holes like that? By the way 90% of those cars will be on blocks in front of somebodys trailer within 5 years.

I have deleted the thread at LS1. It was not gaining velocity. It was only getting worse. I have more important things to worry about now that my mother is very sick. It does not look good.

Speaking of other message boards, does anyone know what ever happened to the old "SLP Online" message board? Back before I saw the light (or Lightning, as it were), I used to want an SS or Firehawk, and those guys were the nicest bunch I've ever witnessed on-line...are they still around?
