Good Ole Days.............
First best was first track day at Putnam Park whupping up on Porsches.
Second best ... Driving back from JDM going through the tunnels
on The PA Turnpike with a two foot wide SEG on my face
listening to the roar of the Maggies !
Third was when I got tired coming back home from Springfield MO
on the yearly thanksgiving trek and let my now EX-Wife drive while
I caught some Z's.... Heard the whine building up, opened an eye
and glanced over to the speedo and she was crusing along at 120 ...
"You better back off a bit" says I. "Oh My God, I had no idea I was
driving that fast, this truck is so nice!"

My '99 is all over the road - actually feels loose compared to the '03 - I need to tightn' her up some how?!

Maybe a little off the track - by about 4000 miles.
Going to Manchester to but a big new American Pickup.
The idea was to buy myself a big work truck with crew cab and loadsa seats for my kids (Five of them)
Big Ford Diesel caught me eye as did a couple of others on show at a dealers.
Test drove a few and thought tough choice - the diesels where quite quick and the big Fords had all the room I needed. Plus it was a Ford.
But.......................
Just having a look around I spotted this Red Pickup - yeah ok it was only a three seat and a bit smaller but I thought give it a spin because it looks nice.
So the sales guy took me out but there was twist to this.
He hops out at the start of a dual carriageway and I slide over to take the wheel, within 10 seconds he's looking for the ejector seat as I have pushed this thing up to the 100 mark and I think he caking his pants
(This is a stock 99 but the blower sound was awesome)
After we get back and he makes a little dash for the wash room.
I am sitting in the 'L' giving it blips on the gas and having a good look around this beast.
"well sir?" enquires the salesman. "Have you decided yet???"
I just tell him to sort the paperwork and I am off leaving some nice black lines outside and heading off into the sunset.
My first Lightning a 1999 with 12 miles on the clock.
Six years down the line with my 03 - a blown motor (Had a lota fun before that happend though) now nearing completion with the 1st JDM powered / Mag Powers / BTS Lightning in the UK
Would I turn the clock back - YES and do it all again
