Custom Roll Bar Pics

this is a clip from a thread on my local mustang board from the guys doing the bar

Here are some pix of Beefcakes Lightning. The fabrication of the roll bar is complete. The bars currently at the painters being sprayed the same silver as the truck. We are waiting for the tinted lexan for the rear window to arrive so we can begin fitting it. The bars should be back from the painters Friday.

I will post better pictures of it once it is 100% completed.

I am curious as to how much you spent as well. Just want to know about the price of the tubing. I plan on doing a roll cage this summer and want to know what im in for. What kind of tubing did you use? Thanks for any input.

i'll have exact pricing today,

i'm thinking all said and done, probably around $1600, i was originally quoted around 1400 or so, but i added the 6th bar and tinted instead of regular lexan

just waiting for the bolts for the window which should be in around noon and she'll be all done,

i'm pretty pumped myself

also have my corbeau legacy's on order to go with it

Thumbs up

I hope your side bars are removable otherwise it will be almost impossible to get your seats out.

Looking good though

Curious as why you did not go with pop out side bars..Certainly would make it allot easier getting in and out...

1) More Money
2) Lose Strength

That really was the biggest factors, it wasn't a ton more money, but with the solid bars, it really strengthens up the chassis,

with the swingouts, you add 2 joints on each side and you really lose a lot of the strength imo

What size of tubing is that? Are there any regulations on tube size to run on the track? Is it going to be bolted to the bed and the cab, or will it be welded to the frame? Im going to be making one as soon as I get the tube bender I bought.

only took me about 5 minutes to get the 60 side portion of the seat out, unbolted the 5 bolts and just lifted it right over the bar
