According to Sal's site, his chip can account for speed differences from gears.

Question

This is a good question. Our tires are 28.5 diameter. If a person would go to say 31.5 is there any way easy or otherwise to correct the speedometer for the change in tire size???????????????????????????? Where are our tech guys.....What about those plastic tooth gears we use to change in the muncie four speeds. Do there transmissions have these?

I think it's all done via the computer now... Sal can program the eproms.. talk to him about a chip, and extra eproms if possible... different gear ratios could be burned into each eprom. And eproms are cheap, like 5 dollars or less I think..

* 99.5 Black Lightning
* Personal Best ¼ Mile 13.99 @ 97.75 Mph. (Bone stock, ready to run low 13’s now)
* Ohio Plate SVT2GO
* Sal’s Chip and Filter
* Interceptor Trans
* All three Factory options for 99
* Factory CD Changer
* Class 3 Towing Hitch
* Factory Tonneau Cover
* 8" Bazooka Tubs
* Kenwood 80 watt *2 amp
* Viper 550 Alarm w/ remote start
* Often found in the bed: 98 Yamaha Banshee/Pro Design Cool head/ Toomey T-5 Chrome Racing Pipes/ Wiseco Power Pistons / Boyesen rad valves

Injection is nice, but I'd rather be blown. 99 Lightning, the best of both worlds!
