Jamie (ZONAMAN) has moved and can't get his phones hooked up until the 14th. I've already sent him an e-mail but with no phone access it's going to be hit and miss. FYI, his e-mail is: jamiez@northlink.com
I guess you have to choose the camera that makes you the most comfortable. It makes no sense to have the most technologically advanced camera in the world if it's never used! Good luck with your choice.
This is shaping up to be a great event. Have we attracted any magazines yet?

Have not made any calls to any magazines. I have been buried at work for about the past month and I don't think I can make the calls once I get home, as I think it will be too late in the day.

I'm getting very excited about this trip! Things are looking good so far. Hey, do you have Zonamans email or phone number? Can you get in touch with him as I do not know if he is going on the trip.
I know why you like the Coolpix. Went to my camera store yesterday and looked at the 950 side by side to the Canon S20. I know exactly why Nikon uses the flip setup, it makes it so nice to look through the view finder w/o having your nose get in the way. I was able to put the 950 in my pocket, but not nearly as easily/comfortable as the S20. I would really love to see 8X10 outdoor shots taken by both the 990 and S20. They told me to come back once the 990 hits the shelf and they would be happy to take pictures with both and then blow them up to 8X10 so I can do a direct comparison. So, looks like its between the 990 and the S20. 990 has a 3x optical vs. a 2x, but the S20 is so so very small and easy to put in the pocket and take anywhere.
