MY DASH PROJECT DONE! (pics)

HI!... Well I wanted to add some more gauges to my truck, like EGT, VOLT, etc, but had no where to mount them to to the F-150 having such a rounded dash board. I already have a LO-TEK triple gauge pod on the "A" pillar, two gauges mounted out on my CERVINI's hood and my WIDEBAND mounted inthe R/H drivers A/C vent. So talked to a buddy of mine that does custome car interior panels and we came up with this. I bought a 05 WRX triple gauge pod from AUTOMETER and trimmed it down to fit the contour of the top dash. My buddy then used PRO-FORM 2 piece epoxy and grafted it into the dash. Here are some pics :

The texture matches the factory one almost perfectly. You have to look axtremely close to see the slight difference. Colour is dead nuts on too. The pics look about 4-5 shades lighter due to the flash on the digital camera.

Neal

I think you have turned out a very neat looking job there.

Wish I had gone for that instead on the pilliar mount.

When are you going to start full production ?????

Looks great. I was a little skeptical at first at the quality but it looks awesome. Nice attention to detail.

HI!... Well my buddy is thinking of making a mold of the triple gauge pod for our dash's and produce them. He was figuring on about $600(CAN) if he has to get the dash piece or cheaper if someone sends him theirs to do. He has like 20 hours just into mine. This one cost me $450(CAN) to do. I supplied all the parts and material. He did the labour.

Neal, very nice job, I had my concerns from some of your first photos but the final results speak for themselves. Todd

Looks really good man! The only thing I'd say is wouldn't you want the most "sunk in" pod to be closest to you and then come forward (keep proper aspect ratio)? Or am I just being way too critical? Honestly the pod looks KICKAZZ, but for 450 bux I'd pick on that

Looks Good

What color did you use, and what did you use to make the texture? I used SEM Texture coating, and dye. Mine turned out pretty good, but only 2 pods.
