I am just wondering what everyones take is on these two throttle bodies. The KB BO is listed for $359 on their website and the cheapest I have seen the Accufab for is $399 from LFP. I was just wondering if there is a big enough difference in the two to justify paying $40 more for the Accufab?

 

I have the polished AF I got used off ebay about a year or so ago. Once you get the tps adjusted correctly on the S/B they work well. I wish I still had the B/F I bought a couple of years ago, but I never could get it to run right so sent it back. It is the best looking SB out there...but pricey!

 

What all do you have to adjust on the TPS when upgrading to a SBTB?

 

Many times it's a minor adjustments simply setting the voltage to under .99 volts.
Many, including myself had to wallow out the screw holes to achieve this setting. No biggie if you have the info...which, I didn't when I had the BilletFlow that I returned because my truck had "idle" issues and basically ran like crap! You can do a search on here under TPS adjustment for good info w/pics. If you have any trouble finding it let me know and I'll see if I can find it for you.

 

Unless I am mistaken, the KB TBs are made for them by Accufab. I think Acufab makes a lot of KBs blower inlets and other parts. The only difference between the KB and the AF should be the KB actually says Kenne Bell machined into the top.

But this may have changed.

 

I have a KB big oval and it was made by Accufab. No problems and its been on for almost 2 years....But then again, mine is sittin' in the garage with a hole in the block Obviously it wasnt the throttle body.
