Post Rivercity Raceway

Who's up for Rivercity Raceway this Friday, April 7th. The track is located in Seguin, Tx. I am going to be in Austin this weekend and have been wanting to take my truck to a 1/4 mile track. I plan on getting there about 7:00pm. Got any takers?

I will be there but 7:00 is pushing it for me, maby about 8:00 or 8:30. And you better bring a helmet, your truck is pretty fast for stock. Later!

Jerrod,

I just made reservations at the Best Western in Seguin for Friday night. We will be there, barring another fuel pump fiasco. What time do you want to leave?

Come on, I know there are more L's in the San Antonio/Austin area on this board. Get you butts moving and lets get a good group at the track.

I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the fellowship with Jerrod, Travis, Nathan, Chuck, and Tommy Fri. night. It would have been more fun if my truck had been the fastest...but what the hey it was close. The conditions could not have been worse (hot, humid, and low pressure). And last but not least; Nathan I don't know if the young lady with you was your wife, girlfriend, or sister but she is quite nice and very easy on the eyes!!!

Question

Caka, now that the air is cool and dry, is your truck pinging? Mine would not ping Fri. night no matter what I did. But Sat. morning with the dry air and high pressure it will ping from about half, all the way through full throttle. When the RPM's get high, it quits. Let me know, maybe we can get with Sal together on this!

Jerry,
I guess you didnt see my post (how long before....), but it was pinging like a big dog all the next day. I dont know if it was the weather or bad gas. But I do think we need to come off on the timing a little. At about 2:00AM on my drive home from from a wedding and after a fill up at Exxon my pinging stopped almost completly. Only in overdrive when I would easy into it would start doing it a little. But before,it would do it from 1/4 to full throttle and continued till I let off. I am gonna e-mail Sal to see what he says but my (uneducated) opinion is that maby with the climate here in Texas or chips should be set a little different. But I am far from "knowledgeable" in reguard to these things. I will say this, I am very impressed with the chip. And I had a good time also, maby we can do this agian soon. But I feel bad for Nathan and hope he gets his truck running back up to par. And I cant forget about Jerrod, I am sorry to hear about the pulley. Keep us posted on the progress of the removal. Later!

Question

Nathan, did you get your problem worked out? I would like to know if it got ok later Fri. night, or if you had to do the same fix as before.
