Just a short note on my 1/2 hr. experience installing a "made for Lightning and nothing else" Borla one piece exhaust kit. Comes with all the stainless hangers hangers welded on and two stainless C clamps. Take off the old muffler in one piece from the front C clamps and install the new one with the stock rubbers. WD 40 helps both the old and new to slip easily. Thats it! All stainless steel, good sound,lettle restriction and a lifetime unlimited warranty. All these guys messing up their stock systems to have a hack job installed while saving them only $100 or so makes no sense.

Is this the Borla cat-back kit with new tips, or did you just get the muffler?

I haven't looked into them that much, but I've had good experiences with Borla before...to me its one of the very few systems that has almost NO drone at any rpm.

I'm also curious as to where you ordered yours and how much they cost, if you don't mind.

Thanks for the info. I put a Borla Cat-Back system on my '97 F-150, 4X4, Flareside, (which I no longer have.) I was very impressed by the quality. The only real question I have is about performance. I seem to remember some information a while back about someone putting on a Borla and loosing HP. Oh well, I ordered one anyway.
